In Baltimore’s historic Bolton Hill neighborhood, this once-dilapidated row home was reimagined into a layered, soulful home that honors its architectural past while supporting modern living and entertaining.

This interior design project required a careful balance: preserving original details such as arched windows, crown moldings, and the fireplace while introducing the comfort and functionality expected in a modern Baltimore home.

One of the most unique aspects of the project was designing around the client’s bold, pre-selected color palette. Rich jewel tones and deeply saturated wall colors gave each room its own distinct personality, creating the challenge of establishing cohesion and flow throughout the home without diminishing the individuality of each space.

Guided by the client’s strong point of view and eclectic sensibility, the design became a study in layering with restraint. Each element was intentionally selected to bring warmth, depth, and personality to the interiors without allowing the spaces to feel overly formal or visually overwhelming.

The result is a home that feels collected, inviting, and effortlessly livable, where historic character, modern comfort, and expressive color coexist in a way that feels both elevated and deeply personal.
